＜日本語/English＞「飲酒運転根絶！たたかう！武庫川女子」。本学オリンピアンの荒井祭里さん、杉原愛子さんが兵庫県警の交通事故防止啓発キャンペーンに参加しています。 　 　

A poster of “Eradicating drink and driving! Fight! Mukogawa girls” is up featuring Olympian Aiko Sugihara and Matsuri Arai for the promotion of Hyogo police accident prevention awareness.

  東京2020オリンピックに出場した水泳部の荒井祭里さん（健康・スポーツ科学科3年）と体操部の杉原愛子さん（短期大学部健康・スポーツ学科2年）が、兵庫県警の年末の交通事故防止運動に参加し、啓発ポスターや動画に登場しています。12月2日（木）には甲子園警察署の一日署長として、交通安全を呼びかけます。

 

　オリンピックでは、荒井さんは女子シンクロ高飛び込みで6位入賞、リオデジャネイロ大会に続く2大会連続の出場になった杉原さんは、体操女子団体で5位入賞を果たしました。

 

　荒井さん、杉原さんが参加した交通安全啓発のポスターのメッセージは、「飲酒運転根絶！たたかう武庫川女子」。人気ドラマ「ハコヅメ～たたかう！交番女子～」のイメージで構成し、二人は交番でパトカーや白バイを背景に警察官の制服姿で交通安全を呼びかけています。

　また、動画では、「私たちはアスリートとしてルールを守り、事故に気を付け、常に緊張感を持って競技に臨んでいます。車の運転も人の命にかかわることから、事故に気をつけてルールを守ることが大切です」などと呼びかけています。

 

　ポスターは県内の官公庁、商業施設、警察署、交番で掲載され、動画は県警交通企画課SNS（Twitter・Instagram・facebook）、県警YouTubeで配信されています。

 

　12月2日には、二人が甲子園警察署の一日署長となって、啓発ポスター、動画のお披露目や、同署近くの商業施設「ららぽーと甲子園」で交通安全の呼びかけを行うことになっています。

　

 

The two Olympian have been appointed as PR representatives for a campaign that seeks to notify people on the dangers of drink and driving. They appear dressed up in a police wear on the awareness poster as well as in a video. They will act as a chief of Koshien police station for the day on December 2^nd, helping to reinforce traffic safety.

 

Ms. Arai who ranked 6^th in synchronized high diving at Tokyo 2020 was joined by fellow Olympian, Ms. Sugihara who finished 5^th with her gymnastics team.

 

“Eradicating drink and driving! Fight! Mukogawa girls” was the title behind the message of traffic safety awareness campaign poster in which both student athletes appeared in. The two are seen calling out for traffic safety in police officer uniforms with the police cars and motorcycles as backgrounds. The concept is influenced by the popular drama “ハコヅメ～たたかう！交番女子～” which shows two young female police officers in action.

 

In the video, a message from the two goes like this “As athletes, we follow the rules, be careful of accidents and always be cautious in competitions.  Driving on the road can be life-threatening and it’s important to obey the rules and follow them.”

 

The poster will be displayed at government offices, commercial facilities and at police stations in the prefecture. The promotional video was produced by the transportation and SNS planning division at the prefectural police unit.  Watch the PV here.
