＜日本語/English＞ 看護学部の教員が、新型コロナウイルス感染症の第6波で西宮市保健所の業務を支援しました

Supporting the work of Nishinomiya City Health Center combatting the sixth wave of coronavirus disease.

本学は西宮市との包括連携協定に基づき、新型コロナウイルス感染症に関わる応援協力の協定を締結し、2021年の第4波、第5波において、看護学部教員が保健所業務の支援を行ってきました。さらにオミクロン株の流行で感染者が急増した第6波に対応し、2022年1月17日から3月17日まで、保健所の支援を行いました。
　第6波では、子どもから高齢者まで幅広い年代層の感染者の方々を対象に、積極的疫学調査や自宅療養者の方への健康観察の電話対応を行いました。

支援にあたった教員は「支援を通して教員も学び、教育も活かすことができればと思います。収束することを願っていますが、支援が必要な際には、看護学部一丸となり、今後も支援を行っていきます」と話しています。

 

Since tying a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the city council of Nishinomiya, the Faculty of Nursing among its staff have continuously gone to aid in need of provision all through the forth and the fifth wave of the spread of the virus.  

 

In May 2021, once the 4^th wave of the spread of virus occurred, the first demand of support was requested. The nurses were given shifts rotating from morning, lunch and to evening, tallying up to 49 people involved in the process of working at the health center within the space of 2 weeks. At the beginning of the year, from January 17^th to March 17^th, the nurses were back providing support.

 

For the previous emergency concerns, duties were predominantly done over the telephone and desk work related tasks thus avoiding face-to-face contact with anyone with the possibility of having the virus.

 

One of the faculty member commented, “This is a good opportunity for us to learn and educate those among us through the support of this work. We hope that things will start to settle soon, but we will offer our help and guidance and work as one for as long a we are needed.”
