西日本・関西で活躍した学生をたたえる2023年度「学生部長賞」の授与式が行われました。

西日本・関西級の大会で優秀な成績を収めた学生をたたえる「学生部長賞」の受賞式が3月12日午後、中央キャンパスの中央図書館 グローバルスタジオで行われ、受賞者に田中明学生部次長から褒賞状と褒賞金が贈られました。

 

授与式後、受賞者たちは受賞者一人ひとりの活躍を紹介する動画を鑑賞。座談会で受賞のきっかけとなった大会の思い出や日頃の練習などについて語り合いました。「全国レベルの大会に進むためにどのようなこと必要だと思いますか」という質問に、学生は「本番の試合を意識した練習を積み重ねたい」「自分自身の課題を客観的に見つけ、それに対応したトレーニングなどを自分で考えて行いたい」などと話しました。

 

田中学生次長は「一人ひとりのお話を聞いて元気をもらいました。目標を立て、努力を積み重ねたからこそ掴んだ成功体験はきっと将来に役立ちます。これからも頑張ってください」と激励の言葉を送りました。

The award ceremony for the Chancellor's Students' Award, which honors students who have shown outstanding results in Western Japan and Kansai-level competitions, was held on the afternoon of March 12th in the Global Studio of the Central Library on the Main Campus. The winners were presented with a letter of commendation and prize money by Akira Tanaka, Deputy Director of Student Affairs.

After the ceremony, the award winners watched a video introducing the activities of each of the award winners. At the post ceremony meeting, they discussed their experiences of the competition that led to them receiving the award and their daily practice regime. When asked what they think is needed to advance to the national level competitions, they said that they would like to practice harder and harder with an awareness of the importance of the upcoming competitions, and that they would like to find their own personal challenges in order to train for them objectively and to think about how to deal with them.

 Deputy Director Mr. Tanaka commented: 'I was moved by the speech made by the individuals. I am sure that the successes you have achieved by setting goals and working hard will come to be useful in the future. I wish you all the best in the years to come".
