＜日本語/English＞日本語文化学科の谷口亜由子さんがダブルダッチ全国大会『Double Dutch Delight2021』で優勝、12月の国際大会出場権を勝ち取りました！

A student of MWU conquered the road to victory in 『Double Dutch Delight2021』Japan and now on to the international games in December!

『Double Dutch Delight Japan2021』（主催：日本ジャンプロープ連合（JJRU））が、10月9日、神奈川県のカルッツ川崎で行われ、谷口亜由子さん（日本語文化学科2年）が所属する Alfred が優勝。12月にアメリカ ニューヨークで開催される国際大会「National Double Dutch League Holiday Classic」への出場権を獲得しました。（谷口さんは写真中央）

 

谷口さんは  立命館大学の公認団体のダブルダッチサークルFusion of Gambit に所属し、Alfredとして世界大会を目指して週2回、２～3時間の練習を実施しています。地区予選大会を通過した12チームが今大会でパフォーマンスを披露し、 Alfred が接戦を制して優勝を果たしました。

Double Dutch is a jumping game played with multiple players jumping between two skipping ropes being swung in opposite directions so that they cross rhythmically.     

 

Student of Faculty of Japanese Culture, Ayuko Taniguchi celebrated her triumph of winning the champion title with her team, Alfred. The competition was held in a sports hall in Kanagawa prefecture. The win secured her and the team to perform in the world championships “National Double Dutch League Holiday Classic” in December which will be held in New York City.

 

Ms. Taniguchi belongs to a group of Double Dutch unit from Ritsumeikan University and also practices with her team mates in Alfred, couple times a week for several hours per session. Out of 12 teams that competed in the prefectural championships, her team Alfred made it through to the finals.
