連続公開講座「あなたも地方議員を目指してみよう！」を、幅広い世代が受講しています。

政治や選挙を自分事として感じてもらおうと、武庫川女子大学女性活躍総合研究所が企画した連続公開講座「あなたも地方議員を目指してみよう！」が西宮北口キャンパスで実施されています。元兵庫県議会議員で現武庫川女子大学共通教育部客員教授の栗山雅史さんが講師を務め、大学生から経営者まで様々な世代の13人が受講しています。

 

10月から来年2月まで毎月1回、計5回開講。議員になるための「いろは」から、「選挙とお金」といったタイムリーな話題まで、元議員ならではの実体験を交えた講義は「ここでしか聞けない」話が盛りだくさんです。12月16日に行われた第3回のテーマは「選挙の人脈づくり」。いわゆる「辻立ち」「駅立ち」から戸別訪問、チラシ作りの工夫など名前を憶えてもらうためのあの手この手を紹介し、「どのような活動が効果的か」をグループに分かれて考えました。

 

栗山講師は確度の高い事例として「本人の姿を見せること、ポスターやチラシで露出すること、新聞やテレビなどメディアを使うこと」を挙げ、「何が正しいか分からないが、少しでも知ってもらうためにあらゆる活動を積み重ねている」と話しました。受講生からは「戸別訪問は迷惑がられて逆効果ではないか」「SNSを使った運動に制限はないか」などの質問とともに、「体力と精神力がなければできない」という声も。

 

第4回はいよいよ「選挙戦」、最終回は当選後の「議員1年生の仕事」について学びます。

受講生の経営者・田村かすみさんは「議員になるってどういうことだろう、という好奇心から参加したが、自分をどうブランディングしていくかという点では新規事業立ち上げと似ている。ビジネスにも通じる部分が多く、勉強になります」と話していました。

 

In order to make politics and elections more personal, a series of open lectures organized by Mukogawa Women's University's Institute for Women's Career Advancement and Gender Equality Development, "Why don't you become a local councilor too!" is being held at the Nishinomiya Kitaguchi Campus. Former Hyogo Prefectural Assembly member and current visiting professor at Mukogawa Women's University's School of General Education, Masashi Kuriyama, is the lecturer, and 13 people of various generations, from university students to executives, are taking part.

 

The course will be held once a month from October until February next year, for a total of five sessions. The theme of the third session, held on 16th of December, was 'Building a network for elections'. The lecturers introduced various methods of getting people to remember your name, from so-called 'standing n the street' and 'standing at railway stations' to door-to-door visits and making leaflets, and divided the participants into groups to consider 'what kind of activities are most effective'.

 

A participant Kasumi Tamura, who runs a business herself, commented: 'I joined the course out of curiosity about what it would be like to be a counselor, but it is similar to starting up a new business in terms of how you brand yourself. There are many aspects that are also relevant to business, so it's a good learning experience".
